We are looking for an Advanced Quality Manager to join our Quality team and will report directly to the Director of Customer Quality. This Advanced Quality Manager will ensure we are working closely with development team to avoid challenges in designs and avoid known failures of optical components and systems. This person will perform predictive engineering analysis, root cause analysis and data statistical analysis and raise issues as necessary to leaders to help solve design issues and NPI manufacturing challenges. This person will be communicating directly with customers as needed.
What You Will Do \n - Develops quality system for New Products from component to assembly within optical products development team.
\n - Monitors and guides Product Development team to ensure Advanced Quality Planning is applied in the development process.
\n - Accountable to Product Development Team, manufacturing plants and customer on quality issues.
\n - Performs complex problem-solving and set priorities on many different problems on multiple New Products at the same time.
\n - Champions lessons learned
\n - Reduce failure modes and provide predictive engineering analysis testing to ensure a flawless launch of wavelength products and optical components.
\n - Facilitates and provides expertise in the development of DFMEA's, PFMEA's, Control Plans, Qualification Plans, etc., in new product development and product changes.
\n - Provides root cause analysis and data statistical analysis to solve design issues, NPI manufacturing challenges, and customer complaints.
\n - Ensures customer required documentation relating to customer acceptance of new products and product modifications are completed.
\n - Partners closely and supports with plant quality engineers and suppliers to meet new product quality and timing goals.
\n - Reviews and approves supplier product quality specific documentation on new and modified purchased components.
\n - Works with supplier quality team to ensure compliance.
\n - Leads the problem solving (8D's), analysis, and resolution of new product related customer complaints or internal quality complaints during launch.
\n - Supports efforts for prevention of repeat issues and systemic improvements to the Product Development Processes to reduce New Products RMAs

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)\n - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline or Engineering Management discipline
\n - At least 5 years in quality engineering for optical product designs
\n - Knowledge of metrology and GD&T
\n - Experience performing data analysis
\n - Experience with optical components
\n - Fluent in Mandarin
\n - Ability to travel domestically and internationally 5-15%

For this role, we anticipate paying $125,000 - $140,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
