Job Overview
The role of the Executive Housekeeper is to supervise the housekeeping and laundry operation to ensure product quality standards are met and that uncompromised service is provided to hotel guests.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities are diverse in nature and include, but are not limited to:
The Executive Housekeeper will report directly to the General Manager. Primary duties will include the exercise of discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance including the cleanliness of guest rooms and overall guest service. Primary duties include managing the Housekeeping department of the property. Primary duties involve customarily and regularly directing the work of all housekeeping and laundry staff who will report directly to him/her. Primary duties are to include suggesting and recommending direct reports for hiring, firing, advancement and promotion to the General Manager, with the Executive Housekeepers recommendation holding particular weight. The Executive Housekeeper will be part of the senior management team at the hotel and is eligible for serving as Manager on Duty.
Qualifications and RequirementsHigh school diploma / secondary education / equivalent plus 2 years of housekeeping experience including some supervisory training/experience. Must be able to speak local language(s). The Executive Housekeeper a member of the senior management team and eligible to serve as Manager on Duty. This position will also require access to a personal telephone in case of emergency or offsite need and access to internet for email communication.
