Job Description: Principal Client Consultant

Purpose of the Role

The Principal Client Consultant is responsible for managing client relationships, delivering recruitment solutions, and driving business development. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with at least five years of experience in recruitment who is skilled in providing strategic advice, securing new business, and consistently achieving revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key client accounts, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored recruitment solutions.
  • Provide clients with strategic insights and advice on talent acquisition, market trends, and workforce planning.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and managing expectations effectively.

2. Recruitment Delivery

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, and placing top talent for clients.
  • Develop and maintain a network of high-calibre candidates through proactive sourcing strategies.
  • Ensure recruitment processes align with client requirements, timelines, and budgets.
  • Conduct candidate assessments and provide detailed feedback to clients to facilitate decision-making.

3. Business Development

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand client accounts and secure new business.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, emerging industries, and potential clients.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive proposals, presentations, and pitches to win new clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative solutions and strategies for client acquisition.

4. Operational Excellence

  • Track and manage key performance metrics, including revenue, placements, and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, candidate pipelines, and recruitment progress.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on business development and delivery activities.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and client outcomes.

  • Achievement of individual revenue and placement targets.
  • Client satisfaction and retention rates.
  • Successful delivery of recruitment projects within agreed timelines.
  • Growth in client accounts and acquisition of new business.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least five years of experience in recruitment or executive search
  • Proven track record of managing client relationships and achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes, market trends, and talent acquisition strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to mentor and grow less senior team members
