Position Title: Stage Operations Manager
Department: Production Management
Reports to: Production Manager
Salary: $65,000
Status: Full-time, year-round, eligible for benefits
Position Summary:
The Stage Operations Manager is a part of the production management team and responsible
for the safety and efficiency of the IATSE crew. They are a key decision maker and ensure the
reliability and safety of the shows, events, and concerts at Tuacahn Center for the Arts.
Responsibilities
● Accurately schedule, direct, and supervise the IATSE technical crew and use of
equipment on stage in the Amphitheater, Hafen, and other performance venues on
campus.
● Liaison with all department supervisors and technical crew leads to provide staff and
seasonal employees with the resources and support needed
● Attend and supervise technical rehearsals involving IATSE crew while serving as an
on-site communicator between production staff and stage management
● Manage, approve, and submit payroll for crew members bi-weekly
● Uphold safety standards and practices and enforce company policy through orientation,
training, and progressive discipline
● Observe and assist in addressing any communication-related challenges or conflicts that
arise within the team, promoting a positive and productive work environment
● Recruit and hire full time and seasonal IATSE crew members for productions, concerts,
and events
● Other responsibilities as needed and assigned by the Production Manager and/or
Director of Production
Required Skills:
● 5 years of experience in production management, stage management, arts
administration, or a different applicable field
● Experience with collective bargaining agreements, IATSE, and Actor's Equity

● Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors for extended periods of time in a desert climate
● Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends and overtime during peak
seasons
● An intermediate understanding of theatrical lighting, audio, and video systems
● Strong ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in a time-sensitive production
environment
● Commitment to safety and compliance with OSHA standards
● An excellent communicator with patience and understanding of a variety of personalities
