Job Description

Toyota of Seattle and Honda of Seattle are seeking a highly skilled Automotive CFO/Controller to join our executive leadership team. This is a key role responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance, driving profitability, and supporting strategic growth across our dealerships. The CFO/Controller will be responsible for managing the financial activities of the dealership, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing accounting operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and guiding financial planning. Additionally, the CFO/Controller will lead financial strategy, analyze financial performance, and advise on cost control and profitability.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage all accounting and financial functions (GL, AR/AP, payroll, reconciliations, month-end close, financial statements).
  • Oversee compliance with manufacturer, lender, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and financial procedures.
  • Partner with ownership and executive leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Manage and mentor accounting/office staff, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
  • Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and cost control.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a CFO, Controller, or Senior Automotive Accountant in an auto dealership setting (multi-point group experience a plus).
  • Deep knowledge of automotive accounting (CDK/Reynolds or similar DMS required) .
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all departments.
  • CPA or equivalent accounting/finance background strongly preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on, operational role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
